Indeed... this is the problem with people who get into cycling late and start with TDF and stage races. They think everything is raced that way

exactly, this is the point. It happens often.

The only thing here, boonen has a team mate up the road and can just went thru hell :D

No I think those are the riders who feel they are the most confident to do something and therefore are ready to counter anything.
Of course it may not be but i think that in this case with how the dynamics are shaping up with Canc before the classics anyone who really believed in their chances would try and go when that group went.
Maybe I am wrong, as I said well see...

You guys seems to think less of other people because they have different opinions regarding tactics.

No not at all. But your theory is simply stupid considering the history of these races have always shown the same. The guys who split it up even at 60k usually keep dominating the race :rolleyes:
