Cancellara's misfortune decided the race.

Thats nonsense u have no idea how he would have faired. Could of, should of, would of is all rubbish in cycling. Punctures, crashes are all part of it.

Plus Boonen is looking awesome at o dont think he would have been dropped

Boonen has an age appropriate GF now or was that his mother

edt: def not his mother

His sprint game is gone outside the Classics and the "pre-season" races in parts outside Europe. That does come with age.;)

No, but you cleary should. If you don't agree that Cancellara would split this race into pieces maybe you should do something else.

It's hillarious that all of your predictions about boonen were completly wrong, haha. Well done. Swallow your pride and move on instead of humiliating yourself.

what he was going to ride up to the group and then past and then win. And quickstep, sky and Katshua would all sit back and watch?

But yeah, Edvald definitely didn't look too good.

So, in conclusion, with Edvald not looking too good, the typical "Sky logic" said "Bernie, there's no point setting it up for a man with a twinged groin, go for it yourself". Bloody typical Sky.

I know it is a part of the sport. But "taking" Cancellara out of the race made it easy. I'm sorry if you don't agree.

Take Cancellara out of Milano San Remo...then it would have been a bigger sprint. Just saying he's a factor.

Just a random observation but Boonen was the one that in fact instigated and attacked when that group was formed 60km....
Once again just an observation;)

I fail to see your or point.

Generally in these races it is much more split up, and happens as early as 60km. The fact boonen still won displays these races are for the hard men. Everyone was feeling it at the end.

If it wasn't race hard we would have had a 80 man group sprint like when de jongh won
just stop posting, you lost it completley

De Jongh won a 3-men sprint.

I think I see him now - barely sprinting on the far right of the picture. But the guy who got himself into position to come third should definitely have been working for him, no question. Laughable.
Well, if Edvald were feeling good (which we don't know yet) - then it was stupid. Obviously Edvald is much faster than Eisel and could presumably have won from that position. Anyway, this is just speculation :)

I didn't do any predictions about Boonen. I just said his tactics were wrong when there's a bigger favorite. Cancellara punctured and influenced the race big time.

You've changed your tune a bit. If EBH were strong enough, he'd have been up there. Perhaps he lost the wheel, Eisel couldn't find him and just went for it. As you say, it's all speculation, but your first instinct was to slam Sky for it.

no dont be sorry, I dont agree. Statements like made it easy are jsut silly. Of course he is a factor, but so are a great many others.

Chavanel will be getting a big pat on the back today

Well, yeah. Wouldn't have been the first time.

Boonen, now a five time winner got his tactics wrong? can't you see why that's such a hard sell?

Tbh After watching it again EBH was going like a train and if he was just positioned better he might have done very well...

Like Cancellara? He decides these races, or did I miss something?
