To the person who stole Fabian's wheel after Oude Kwaremont while three people were on the ground: best of luck with it! Or bring it back...

Sagan had cramps in the last km according to himself. That explains why he didn't contest in the sprint.

Btw...aside from Vanmarcke, did anyone else think Garmin was weak?

Millar fell thus had an excuse. But Haussler was bad, Vansummeren gave up, Maaskant gave up, etc

Interesting interpretation of events in cyclingnews' race report:

"He [Cance] received a new bike but right after the tough climb Cancellara collided with a spectator and a Rabobank rider for further bad luck."

ya i was checking the results and also thought that was really bad. vansummeren isn't good on the cobbled hills but he should at least be on the finishing group. maaskant i just hope he hasn't crashed again like he does every season and haussler. .. . well it's just being haussler to be honest.

i think after today sep will be the sole leader of garmin for all the cobbled races

Haussler seemed to be positive pre MSR, talked up his chances, legs felt great and things like that. Dunno what happened to him, I hope he gets back to form.

didn't he did exactly the same thing last year before failing big time on the classics?

a bloody shame that he doesn't seem to be able to replicate his 09 form which despite being a bit overrated would be a nice addition to the cobbles

Maybe he did. But he had more confidence saying so this time, he got a pretty good last year training wise completing the Vuelta. He also looked quite good early this season. But still things doesn't seem right for him.

Haussler was 4th in Omloop, he was the strongest from the bunch. Im really surprised that he failed so badly today. Any news about it ? Bad luck, puncture, crash ? Or he's just out of shape ?

That's disgusting. Whoever did this should be ashamed of himself. On the outside chance you're reading this: **** you.

Ha, I thought I saw a guy running with a wheel. I figured it was a mechanic or someone

My feed glitched right when all that happened. I'm still not sure what went on.

IIRC the Helicopter shot had a guy running to the left hand side of the road and I think a mechanic went after him with a bike with only the back wheel on. I remember seeing and and thinking it seemed strange

Eisel's comments:
"Today I would have been working for Edvald, and I got him into the Taaienberg in second place, but I knew that if it came back together I would maybe have a chance. I said to Eddy, you focus on Cancellara, and I'll do my own thing. Now I just want to say I'm happy because I worked for him and then I was able to do the finish for myself."

:D:D:D
So this is evil Bernie, who inspired poor EBH with an idea of marking Cancellara untill the very end

Boonen looked really strong for the whole race and so did his team. Very convincing win.

EBH needs to get his own Bernie because this one only works for Cav:D

Of course, with everything Bernie puts up with, he deserves chances like this and he rode really well.

Best looking podium I can recall!

Edvald said he had pretty good legs for the sprint. Maybe he didn't communicate this to Eisel. Eisel is a good sprinter but Edvald can finish better than third.

Good to see all the riders I like doing well too.

Chavanel, Boonen, Vanmarcke, Devolder, Freire, Hoste..

...and where are all of those forumites that said Freire was over the hill?
He certainly looked strong at the finish today.

That was me.

yes, cured from the Rabobank virus he seems to be doing excellent. As with all riders who leave Rabobank these days
