This is what we've been waiting for.

Cancellara vs Boonen vs Gilbert

I don't think there's much doubt as to whether to first two are in good shape, while Gilbert hasn't really been looking good so far this season. He has, however, said that his form is getting better.

Another little battle, or at least showdown, is Sagan vs Hagen. Will we get an answer to who the most promising classics talent is? Or will they perhaps both get overshadowed by Vanmarcke?

You mean you like to see Rabo lose again?

I mean, why do they even bother racing? :D

I was being sarcastic ofcourse even though I would really like Boom to get some results this spring. He's a nice guy and has the talent, but I doubt whether that's enough...

Somehow every comment a Dutchman (or Belgian) makes regarding Boom has to do with him not living up to his promise... it's only his, what, third classics season? He's no Vanmarcke, but he's doing okay.

That means he could've won RvV and Paris - Roubaix twice already.

And he probably wouldve won roubaix if he didnt get a flat in the breakaway with Vansummeren.

That's an "if" ofcourse, but he was in the vansummeren group when he got a flat indeed and he would've been good competition for Vansummeren... that's for sure.

Yeah, 'cause Vansummeren always sucks in Roubaix...

I know Belgians are pretty sensitive regarding their Vansummerens and Nuyenses, but to say Boom could have challenged Vansummeren isn't a stretch at all. If you look at how far Tjallingii got...

And I like Vansummeren better than Boom, before I get some chauvinist drivel again.

Who was still there when Vansummeren rode away? Tjallingii, Rast, Bak, Eisel (?). I wouldn't say that Boom was a lot better then them.

Boom was flying that day though. Creating a gap in the Arenberg forest without even noticing it.

And yes, I rate Boom higher than those guys.

Boom was responding to attacks by Cancellara and Hushovd as one of the only ones deep in the final where the rest had to pass. He was really good that day and far better than Tjallingii, Rast or Eisel
