Cort has been rather shite tbh. I can't see where he has any chance of doing anything aside from stage 19 at this point.

Has he made a break?

With all those poor results, they might have the freshest legs for the next few stages and the remainder of the race.
great! Now they just need a sprinter and a GT rider and they'll smash it third week :D

I guess Chaves could luck out and be in the break the day where UAE and Jumbo let the break have it.

Now that it is August 1st and transfers can be confirmed the PCS transfer pages lists:

Magnus Cort is gone. (dammit)

Rafferty and Ryan are in.

Powless, however, is totally unpredictable in any one day race and it wouldn't surprise me if he is in the mix like he was in Leuven. His weakness is that he's gonna lose almost any sprint with the other guys who should be strong on this route.

The winner of this race is going to have to do about 250 sprints out of corners on the circuit. As much as I'd like to see Powless pull a result, I'm not sure if this course is for him.
