Crelan - Euphony, pro continental team stops at the the end of the year...

It's really to hope that Wanty can continue because otherwise Belgium would have only one pro-conti team left....

So with Vacansoleil, Euskaltel that makes at least 3 teams to end, how many people, riders, staff etc included makes that looking for a job?

TopSport ends too!?

don't think so, so that's the only pro conti team left for the moment, Wanty is unsure or at least waiting for confirmation for the wallonian sponsor with Hilaire Van Der Schueren.

Hooray for the globalisation of cycling. Starting to see my fears manifest in reality as local teams in traditional hotbeds of the sport unable to afford to keep going - Crelan have been in the péloton since 1992 (as Saxon), and with the current sponsors since 2000. Euskaltel have been in the péloton since 1994 (as Euskadi-Petronor) and with the current sponsors since 1998. Champion System, though a product of the globalisation drive, are also a victim of it, since logistic costs for a team that has to travel long distance to almost any race, on top of the high cost of Pro-Continental licensing, are crippling.

the reason those teams stop is there's a crisis in the traditional cycling countries
