I'm not going to get into any petty arguments that's why, was just commenting. Cav, Thomas, swift and kennaugh have all come through and aren't all that bad and they came through Italy, Luke Rowe is pretty decent young talent and I think tim kennaugh has signed for an amateur Italian team

And although he races on an Irish licence, I think I'm right in saying that Dan Martin essentially came up through the UK system.

I don't think Martin is a very good example, to be honest. He was with a French amateur team by the time he was 19/20. And he was something of a victim of the British obsession with track success too.

I'm not being condescending. If you really believe the standard of racing in UK is comparable to Belgium, then good for you.

I dont think he's saying that, just that the domestic scene is important because the sponsors get publicity and they pay the bills in the end. The races are shown on British Eurosport.

They are currently riding and doing quite well at the Tour of San Luis but it will probably get minimal publicity for the team even though its a higher class field of riders.

Good results for Weterhall. Camano 14th on GC as well so they're doing pretty well. Not a bad effort for the 1st race of the season against some good riders.

Very nice result and a bit of a surprise. Was that a breakaway that managed to stay away in front of the favourites in the peloton?
