I have no reason to assume that EBH was the stronger rider on the day. Absolutely no reason whatsoever. When two time trial powerhouses attack on a climb in the final of the stage, you better make sure you're on their wheel.
And Hagen couldnt stay in front of the chase group either... While Martin and Moerenhout only kept improving their lead.
Moerenhout said they were only riding at 80% until the lead was 1 minute...

Well, that's not very surprising, considering it was 2 against 1. But really EBH was the best of the rest.

BTW, Cyclingnews, what's up with this:
Koos Moerenhout (Rabobank) takes his first road win since his 2007 national title.
He wore the red, white, and blue until just two months ago, because of his second national title in 2009.

He won an ITT in Austria a month ago but that's ofcourse not a road win. It's off-road?

Or am I misunderstanding the meaning of "road win"

A month ago Moerenhout was riding the Tour. Posthuma (FAIL of the day BTW) won that Austria TT. Moerenhout won it last year, but yeah, that was actually his latest win before today.

And Peter Sagan:rolleyes:

I think the most embarrassing has to be Benoît Vaugrenard in stage 4 of Tirreno-Adriatico. Why? Because Scarponi only finished about 7 seconds ahead of him and was more or less in eyesight.

What's it with Devolder... either he's surprisingly good, or surprisingly bad.

Neh, the most embarrassing was Liuwe Westra in Tour of Oman, who basically thought he had won a bunch sprint, although no one else was sprinting :p

Totally bummed out that the one with Westra appears to be undocumented. I wanted a video :(

Westra :)
Thanks!
He looks back quite a bit and yet he doesn't figure it out. Poor guy.

Says he lost time because his shoes were too small. Idiot. If your shoes are too small, wear bigger ones.

At the first look I can´t see any blood in the socks.
So couldn´t have been that painful, that there really was a need to change his shoes. :p
