Boom didn't really look very comfortable, looked like he was shifting around on his seat a lot and too much movement in his upper body.

Boom is going to have a hard time keeping Chavanel behind him.

Dumoulin keeps on impressing me this year. Hope he can keep on improving, unlike most dutch talents who are allready at their best at age 22.

Seems like it was a more technical TT then originally thought. Which probably played against guys like Wiggins and Phinney and in favor of guys like Chavanel and Boom.

Well Boom didn't set a great time but certainly the course was perfect for Chavanel. He loves short, technical TT's. The worlds TT is 57km's so today's 13km isn't exactly a good indicator. I'd also say that the Poland TT results weren't a brilliant indicator either considering it came at the end of a hard stage race and both Cancellara and Phinney said they weren't feeling good.

Tony Martin is still the clear favourite at this point.

so this TT means nothing for worlds?

i was thinking chava's chance increased due to this result.

Chava has a history of blowing up quite a bit in the second half of long TT's so I don't think this result means much in respect to the worlds TT.

Chava was using Froome-dawg's much-maligned
"looking-at-stems" position a great deal today
with similar results to Froomie.

What's your point oldcrank? No one has ever said Froomes looking at stems style wasn't effective. Just that's it's funny (and Chavanel didn't win due to looking at his stem BTW).

And
why
do
you
post
like
this?

I don't know how well he can go on La Redoute, but I think Stybar is still in with a shot. And gilbert should be able to take some time on Boom in the hilly stage.

well spotted, he said after the race he feels more comfortable on his road bike and not so much anymore on his ITT bike lately.

Verzoek aan de helikopter in #enecotour om niet op 50 m van een renner te vliegen. Wilco had nu windkracht 8 tegen!

Apparently, Keldermerckx had 'force 8' headwind because of an enthusiastic heli pilot.

He was very enthusiastic. At the top of the first climb he was even waving at us spectators. A few times I felt a strong downdraft from the blades.

No. Not only is the parcours totally different, but Chavanel won't be close to Martin anyway. Wiggins possibly depending on his level.
