First he has to bridge to gap to the first 3. There both Stybar and Richeze are mooching of Roelandts. Then Roelandts stops, so Boom has to go because otherwise the group would be caught by the peloton (thinking about precious GC seconds).

So how the hell should he have won when he is the one who leads out the sprint with two guys on his wheel that are relativly fresh????

Yeah, I was amused at DerEffe's comment as well. Wtf? I was amazed Boom even had acceleration left for that sprint after the jump he had to do to close the gap

Today's finish looks a bit technical to say the least. Two sharp bends inside the last km and potential to be damp as well

If you wonder why Boom mixed it up in a bunch sprint: this is his home town, and he wanted to take the leader's jersey. Which he did.

Is Farrar's sprint getting worse? He was a like a big slow turtle blocking the road and getting in the way.

He hasn't won a sprint outside of the USA since 2011. If he is
going to have any success in the future it will have to come
from getting in a break because I can't see him ever winning
a bunch sprint in any sort of major race again.
