One more thing. The Vs. logo is always in the lower right corner of the screen. The feed they're using often displays information which extends to there, and is thus unreadable on Vs. because obscured by the logo. Heart rates, gear ratios, etc. Are they stuck contractually, or is it not worth their bothering to put the logo elsewhere?

Yeah that's annoying. What gets me is, it happened for the first few days of the '09 TDF then they realized (people must have emailed in?) and moved it up to the top. Yet once again back to square one yet again with Versus and that dam insigna over the time/splits.

p.s does anyone rememember the old sky analoge boxes where you could choose from multipule commentators and languages on Eurosport?. Do they still have that on the digital in UK now? Ex-Euro stuck with Phill and Pauls monotone-tones

I became a fan of the sport watching Ligget & Sherwin cover the TdF. However, now that I have access to Eurosport I realized just how much they chatter. I'll take Harmon & Kelly/Backstedt any day.

Harmon is usually OK but tends to lose it and get excitable and call the wrong riders on occasions. Its better than Phil And Paul any day of the week but thats not saying a lot because they are intolerable.

I don't think you can accuse the Eurosport commentators as being biased towards English speaking riders like some people whine constantly about also.

2011 Eurosport Tour commentary.

Theres a thread for Versus but many of us rely on the Harmonn Kelly Kirby team for our TDF background.

Any comments.

I like Harmonn, though some on this forum say hes not great in person (wouldnt know) but today there was a funny incident.

A woman, wrote in to ask Harmonn about the Olympics, and also inocently asked why he hadnt mentioned Haimar Zubeldia.

Harmonn switched at the Zubeldia question saying " Because hes done absolutely nothing, like 150 other riders" and then for the next 5 minutes recited from memory presumably, riders at the Tour whom he also hasnt mentioned

" I havent for example mentioned David Moncoutie, Or Jermome Coppell or Dmitri Fofonov. I havent mentioned Amael Moinard or..." going through at least a dozen riders.

poor woman, just wanted to ask a question, but it was still quite funny.
