No, you're either short or tall, just like you're either young or old. There are no categories in-between.

Libertine can probably comment better on this, but it is what it is with the geography of the area, the need to finish in the center and having the finishing circuits. It doesn't matter much what route will be taken since it will always be something like 40km from the last difficulty unless the finish is moved or the number of circuits is reduced.
