Very disappointed with that result. England matches mean quieter roads than normal and, living in London where quiet roads are a rare thing, i was looking forward to beating the traffic with a cheeky late ride on Thursday.:(

Pirlo <3 My favourite player. Had an excellent season at Juventus, incredible at his age. Love to see how easy he moves on the pitch.

Great, great, great :) And his penalty, unbelievable.

From a neutral perspective Spain vs Portugal is like cholera vs cancer.
Anyway would be fine to see Ronaldo cry after the finals. So i hope Portugal advances

The whole of Germany is really scared of the Italians, by the way.
Simply to many heart crushes in the past against them. But i hope that every series has to end once. Maybe tomorow is the day.

Hm, Germany is very strong though. I hope they win. But yeah, Italy have suprised me. They are much stronger than I anticpated. Especially Pirlo could win the match for them

Spain decide to go with Negredo ahead of Torres or Llorente, but he has been... well, I don't know. He has just been sort of there, right? It would be difficult to have a more inoffensive match.

Now, seeing that it wasn't working, Del Bosque has struck hard and fast by bringing on... another midfielder for him.

England unlucky to be in the wrong side of the draw. Would have dicked both of these lot.

No you wouldn't. You would however provide even more boredom by defending all match like England have done all tournament

Same old bitter dutchies.

Can't blame you for the jealous hatred reflex, just days after the world watched another England masterclass. I doubt the Italians have yet got over how lucky they were.

Oh for cripes sake, don't make me start to cheer against Portugal, a 4 year old could see I'm not being serious.

Meanwhile, an English commentator just expressed surprise at Spain's energy levels.

I wonder if they'll ever question how the physical weak, small Spaniards developed in to the fittest team in the world without changing personel.
