Excellent stage, great route and well-raced, despite Landa realising the win was impossible. Although, didn't Landa start the day ahead of Ion?

Roglic, though, is incredible form. This is a great field and he has destroyed them all.

Look at these gaps. A great edition on a great route. Very selective. Excellent stage today as well. Happy for Fraile. Didn't understand what QS did though.

Has there ever been such a huge gap between first and second in Pais Vasco?

No, usually there are multiple riders inside 1 minute...
Impressive.

GT-like difference after five stages. And Roglič was top 2 in every but one of them! Which is amazing.

Doubt the strongest rider won today's stage - Can we please have a stage finish on an ascent.

My boy Mark Padun was great today. MK jersey will be a big step for him. He is a first ukrainian cycling hope in many years...
Also had a great time-trial yesterday, definitely can be good GC rider in the future.

Absolutely the strongest won yesterday - Did feel sorry for Bevan who was in the hot seat for around 2hrs.

Who cares if the strongest won? There was action for more than 30km, and anyway: it's a stage race - the strongest will win overall, and will always win in a TT. cycling isn't all about w/kg otherwise where would the fun be?

I'm really impressed by Roglic. this race is his to lose at this point, given the time gaps & the coming stages..

Roglic about 5 light years ahead of the rest in this field. I can't remember a PV with these differences. Holy ***.

Roglic should definitely win. This is only a fight for the stage win and all the other GC spots

There is nothing wrong with having a stage finish on an ascent in a hilly stage race - Or at the very least if you have a descent finish make sure the final flat is 2 or 3 km - Seems strange to have have a final flat of 11 or 12kms - I made no reference to the ITT in my original post.
