Of course Roglic was forced out of Visma if by forced we understand that the circumstances were pointing to his decision that he should leave. But that's a weird understanding of how free will works. If we subscribe to this logic, then whenever we are faced with a choice, we are "forced" to do what we feel is the better choice for ourselves.

In reality, he was not forced to do anything. He did what he thought was best for him and he could just as well have decided to stay with Visma - but the circumstances were such that he was not willing to do that anymore.

But I guess saying he was forced to leave Visma is just something that will make you more money if you are in the business of making money via Youtube clicks.

Depends how you look at it, you say he isn't forced out, others will say he was. Doesn't really matter because this is up to personal interpretation of the situation Visma created. Only Visma leadership can tell if they deliberately created the situation with Vingegaard as sole leader to make sure Roglic would like to leave, but we will never know this.

I must admit I was not concentrating on the clip that much so I guess I missed that theory about Visma deliberately creating those circumstances. If that was the premise, yes then he was being forced out. It could make sense considering their financial problems, benefitting 7M+ from the situation. However it’s not in line with what we know so far - which is that Plugge was apparently pissed about the team provoking Roglic at the Vuelta… If those reports were true of course.

Of course it's clickbait. These podcasts, Youtubers, copy-paste news websites aren't interested in objective analysis. They need BIG HEADLINES and SPICY QUOTES because THAT'S THE ONLY WAY YOU WILL CLICK ON THEM.

Roglic asked for the move himself, and it makes sense. His fans have already embraced Bora as the new heaven on earth, and they do not accept any possible criticism of that team. We'll see how long this dynamic lasts 🙂

Roglic was not forced. After a messy situation the obvious decision for someone with this personality will be to leave Jumbo. In this sense, he never had a choice to begin with after the Vuelta events. Unless you want to say it was all a Jumbo masterplan to force him to leave..which of course is not true.

I will never spare more than 1s looking at Chris Horner youtube channel.

It depends on your definition of "forced." Did Jumbo leadership tell him that they didn't want him on the team any longer? Of course not. Did it become clear to Roglic that Vinge was the team's #1 and that if Roglic ever wanted to be the leader of the TDF he would need to leave? I think so.

So if Primoz's dream is to win the TDF, he was "forced" to leave.

On topic of team unity at Vuelta

This may have some interesting implications. First, Roglic may have something to tell as well. Not necessarily regarding Vuelta but in general regarding Visma. And more importantly, if there’s going to be hate between Roglic and Visma now, that could affect TDF… I don’t think Visma wants Pog and Rog working together in any capacity.
