If it serves to get rid of the idiocy of 1x drive trains for road bikes, I'm fine with it.

Too late to stop thatonly if we can get rid of disc brakes first
Whe are doing conspiracy theories now or whats going on? Today was blatant and sets an example.
You make a rule, the rule gets applied 1% of time, and when it does, it's somehow fair. That tracks perfectly.

I called that one immediately, and just like today it was both in line with the text of the rules and how they have been enforced. This one really shouldn't come as a surprise, and it thankfully won't matter anyway.and then when they apply a rule that Roglic benefits from (TDF stage 11)? it's a bad horrible rule that needs to be changed!

Expecting the rules to be applied consistently within the same race is a stretch, expecting the same from race to raceWere the rules around drafting toughened up this year? Nico Roche on comms was suggesting there would be a penalty when he saw he was behind the Bora car, that it was "no longer allowed" to use your own car that way. But I'm trying to think of other time penalties for that recently, perhaps Cav in the Tour after a mechanical (not that 30s to a sprinter is the same thing anyway).
This blatant example is only 1% of the infractions. You make a rule, the rule gets applied 1% of time, and when it does, it's somehow fair. That tracks perfectly.
Not over yet.. I suspect stage 20 will be a "bad day" where Mas can gain some time.
Agree. But has Mas had a bad day yet? And I think Mas will lose some time to Roglic in the TT.Who is the greater threat to Rogla, now--O'Connor or Mas? I am thinking it's Mas.
Roglic will not lose 3 minutes there. Not over yet.. I suspect stage 20 will be a "bad day" where Mas can gain some time.
So Mas doesn't have bad days - only everyone else? And don't forget Mas will lose time in the TT.Not over yet.. I suspect stage 20 will be a "bad day" where Mas can gain some time.
Mas had his bad day a few stages back when he initially followed roglic and then blew up and finished behind other GC contenders.Agree. But has Mas had a bad day yet? And I think Mas will lose some time to Roglic in the TT.
Actually had to rewatch, but launching full gas before the steep part even really started wasn't very smart it turns out.
He can also tell him to go slower, he wasn‘t exactly opening himself to attacks by riding normally. He was forced by Lipowitz.
