Van Aert hasn't won anything big since 2020 and was the best rider in the world according to some as recent as 2022.

Roglic has basically been called washed every year since 2022.

Every person who called washed to Roglic in 2023 is crazy. 2024 I think he overachieved since he won a GT and looked worse than Remco in the TdF. And before the TdF he was clearly the third best GT rider and the one able to win GTs "easily" when the Big2 wasn't racing.
In 2025, he crashed in the Giro and since that crash he has been very poor specially in his terrain.
But now, it's clear he doesn't have it. There are 5 or 6 riders better than him in stage races.

First part of the climb he was very clearly consistently looking for Pellizzari to make sure he was gluing the group back together. He clearly tried but he also couldn't really go any faster

I really don't get how you can call a 36 year old rider 'overrated' when he's got 5 GT's to his name already.

He is what he is. Maybe he's a bit diesel this year as well since his objective is in September.

I don't think it was good, but good enough for me to not be screaming in panic in my underwear(it's been known to happen).

To me he's riding around like he knows he's not in top shape and that's part of why he's consistently looking for Pellizzari.

His seasons openers have been like this for two seasons so nothing new.
I don't think he looks that bad. Rode good TT and he has been climbing pretty much on the same level as Pellizzari. Surely the stomp is still missing but if he can find some of it back and improve his climbing as the season progresses there will definitely be some wins this season as well.

Overrated now. In fact, he is underrated if we look to his career. Probably the best GT rider to never win the Tour.

What is problematic is that with him becoming weaker he is looking kinda useless for his team because he seems incapable of making a difference for his team mates.

Even though he was superbly positioned to make del Toros life harder this week in favour of Pellizzari he basically had 0 impact on the entire race.

He is worse than people think. I don't care if everyone disagrees with me, but a decent Roglic would be a contender in this TA. You never lose your main weapon if you are not washed.
