Training with his old pal Jan Tratnik

But did the younger and stronger Roglic already won the Tour ? Not even against a 21-year old Pogacar in 2020.
Theoretically Roglic has still a chance to win the Tour. But against Vingegaard ?
Yes.
Against a since 2020 stronger Pogacar (but maybe not in his best form after participating at the Giro) ? Evenepoel has the same chance (or no chance) than Roglic to win the Tour later this year. But Evenepoel will probably win the Tour in the future. Roglic didn't win the Worlds during his career. Evenepoel did already.
His career is not over AFAIK and he still has time.

Facts and statistics are about the past and they give you no sure indication about the future.

I would advise other posters not to reply to such low and provocative statements with no more depth than a shallow puddle of mud...but they are grown ups and this is the off season and everyone needs stretching their fingers in a punching bag...so be my guest.
So, what's about the future ? Roglic winning the Tour ? Almeida winning a GT ? It's theoretically possible. But I don't think it wil happenl. In fact, in the future I think Evenepoel has more chance to win the Tour than Roglic. But not this year, and yes, Evenepoel isn't the strongest GT-rider (or climber) compared to Vingegaard, Pogacar and maybe even Roglic a few years ago. But he has the ambition and the courage to attack dozends of km before the finish and is an excellent TT-rider. This attitude could pay out in the future. Only sitting in the wheels as the slowly aging Roglic and Almeida always do, is not the right recipe to win the Tour in 2024, 2025 and beyond.

Considering Vinge was at the top of majority of these, Pog was up there substantially and was destroyed by Vinge, and Vinge was able to follow Roglic easily the third week I think we can all agree it will be hard for him to win. Now where he can gain time is with his stomps, working with Pog/UAE, and riding a great TT.
No one is saying it'll be easy. He knows that and we know that. But it's really stupid to say he doesn't stand a chance without any proof. Just blabla.

Yes, in theory. Even Cavendish has....
Why would an aging and clearly weaker Roglic win the Tour in 2024 and/or 2025 ? As a fan you could hope it. But that is not realistic. Don't forget that as a Bora rider he will not get a meter of freedom from the Visma-team. Also Pogacar won't give his "friend" and compatriot Roglic presents...... as the not very clever Roglic did in the Tour 2020

IMO i think the tour will be won by a shadow leader, but i think Roglic's TT will be at the same level as Pog & Jonas if not better.
Based on what ? Roglic will be almost 34. How could he be at the same or a better level in TT (or in general) ? Explain ? His level of the first TT of last Giro where he was destroyed ? His (good) level (but against no one) in the last (uphill) TT during that same Giro. His mediocre level during the TT in the Vuelta a few months ago ?

YAWNNN.

As for the spring campaigning, due to the fact the bear is awakening. Thinking about this i feel that Rogla will need to face at least one of the main rivals, stage racing, early in the season.

Remco. To be honest i don't know about this one. Best if Remco, Pogi and Jonas do some dancing, this spring.

Pogi. In the same boat this year. Due to Worlds/Olympics and anticipation of medals and the situation in regards to the Tour. Comrades.

Jonas. Likely the best choice on the menu. So lets get the bear some salmon, as he is hungry. Pun intended.

For Roglic's perspectives in the TDF one thing that matters most is how much marginal gains he lost from transfer to Bora
That's a good take. Those Jumbo's millions don't go just for salaries and transfers and **** but to a scientific approach to training, nutrition, resting and the like.

Of course people will always attribute victories and defeats to a rider and not to his whole entourage. Roglic changing teams just shows his courage, he put his money where is mouth is. I doubt Froome would win half his palmares if he was in Movisitar.

Yeah, mad respect to Rogla that he chose risk and path of glory instead of comfortable farming of another Giro win... Not everybody can do that at his age.

Don't feed the real troll.

Remco evenepoel fortunately contributes to a better cycling, that's the style of a rider that brings more fans to the sport, the type of rider that make people see cycling.
Riders like that deserve to win the Tour one day.

Considering Jumbo Visma was arguably the best team in the peloton, for sure one could expect some hiccups in this regards. But if looking at the bigger picture, one can not escape seeing the elephant in the room. That is no amount of marginal gains would help Rogla at the Tour. Considering the team would race for Jonas.
