Looked quite good yesterday and fought really hard. Still, he ceded 45s to Vinge on the 4k penultimate climb, but maybe it was never realistic that he would climb as well as Vinge.

Looking forward to a tough battle with Remco. And we never know, Pog and Vinge might fade in third week, Pog because of the Giro and Vinge because of lack of preperation. Can also see Roglic doing a good last tt.

I think "the Carma" lady will reward Roglic at the end and he will redeem himself with a win in this year Tour:
- He has no team in 2024 vs super team in 2020, so he will hang with UAT
- Remco paid back his "loan" from Vuelta 2022 yesterday
- Vingegaard will assume Roglics role in Granon 2022 in stage 19 in which Rogla will gain 2 minutes against Pogačar. Vingegaard will shed 4 minutes
- Pogacar will lose Yellow jersey in the last TT :D

A man can dream...

@svit

We asked Karma after 2020 finale and Karma was pissed due to getting the blame. Some people just gloated, the ones calling Karma out, majority on the other hand became a fan. So lady Luck and Karma and Zeus all said, Rogla this time it's on you. Go get em tiger.

Rog looked better yesterday. Maybe a bit to eager to pull when Jonas initially didn't, then again he blew up trying to follow Jonas later, which likely cost him some time on Remco. I think he's playing the long game and will peak in week 3. He and his team are likely hoping that both Jonas and Pog start declining. One due to his lack of preparation and the other because of Giro.

As for following Jonas. In my opinion that was not a mistake and only once Jonas decided to increase the pace, to leap to Pogi, only then Rogla decided OK, lets not lose the war today, and went on a more suitable pacing strategy. So in my opinion Rogla didn't pay much, due to following Jonas. If he would remain back in the bunch he in my opinion likely wouldn't gain more yesterday. On top of that if was a nice and steady high pace Jonas was setting. Rather ideal training, to prepare the body, for mountain stages to come. Trying to follow after, yesterday, on when Jonas upped the pace, and going deep into the red zone, that in my opinion indeed would be a mistake and could cost Rogla much, yesterday, or deeper into the race.

yeah, he couldn't have known before hand how strong Vingegaard would be, so as long as he didn't stay with JV longer than his lungs and legs could handle it's all good.

Did Pogi made a mistake, though? Not letting Jonas pace, once Jonas caught him? Who knows.
yeah probably. but he felt confident about the sprint.
