I was thinking more that it becomes riskier day by day for anyone (Roglic also) to allow him time. Dominant in the mountains hadn't entered my mind, that's an interesting thought. But more like...he's looking harder and harder to drop.

I would like to object to that. Pog had his deliverance story getting beaten repeatedly by Jonas and TJV and last year was cathartic for his fans. Or the stage after Puy Mary in 2023, for instance. Pure delirium for us fans precisely because he overcame adversity, being able to stay with strong TJV over Tourmalet while they were trying to *** him via Wout threat and in the end turning the tables around against all odds.
In 2022 and 2023, rooting for Roglic and Pogacar was very similar for me personally. Now of, course, it's very much different...
