It's actually refreshing someone else hit the deck and people are going bonkers who's fault it was and who should wait who and Rog is just chilling in the bus.

Yes, I’ll be very interested to see how he and Remco fare (I hope they’re good) as well as how Healy will hang onto the front group.
Great team work on the ultimate climb, Lipo had it under control and hence no surprises there, that IMHO suited Rogla. As for being in the second group for a while, when the peloton split, holidays! On top of that a rise in form is becoming apparent.
Pogi did hit the deck hard and IMHO there will be consequences in terms of non optimal performance(s), there is just no way around that. Visma will for sure try to benefit from that as early as tomorrow. Hopefully Rogla will be able to play it smart and to benefit from it. I expect for Visma to go all out and to hit with everything they got tomorrow, surviving that, that would be a good sign.

Call me crazy- Jumbo is destroying this race. Pog crashed. Meanwhile Red Bull has two guys in the top 10. I think the key here is for Pog to be healthy enough to worry Jumbo. Roglic has had an easy ride of it so far. I don't know, it's Roglic but I think he might have something to say about this race.
He's had an easy ride of it, but he's also 4 minutes down. He can't stay quiet for long if he wants to make an impact on proceedings.
He's 340 down on Pog. The question becomes what happens to this race if Pog isn't Pog because of the crash? I guess the assumption is in that case Ving and Jumbo would destroy the race and win by 8 minutes which is possible but I don't know. If this race becomes a wild one, Roglic has been flying under the radar and his team has a few ways they can play it.

We should just sit back and enjoy this as much as possible.
It's the first time in five years he's reached the mountains in the TdF without prior accident or problem. It's going to be a hot sunny day as well, which is technically something he always liked as a rider.

There's been some good signs in recent days, but really he could be anything from 3rd to 10th best climber when the chips are down. Today we find out. If he can hang with Remco I'll be very happy as I think he will improve as the race goes on. If he can't, I won't be that disappointed if he can just make it to Paris in one piece.
Ideally there would be small bunch sprint today and Rogla to stomp. As for dropping others, better hills for that. We'll see.

Nowadays Rogla prefers longer climbs to stomp so he'll probably attack at km 0 of Hautacam.

I was thinking more in the direction of 0,1km till the end of Hautacam. If this would be the day, to bring out the bazooka, then much earlier indeed, but IMHO this is not the climb for that. We'll see.
