So current schedule is to participate at Predazzo on Olympic Games as guest and cheering and supporting Slovenian air forces, then to Tenerife and finally some racing at Tirreno-Adriatico.

Slovenia is a bit short in their team to support Domen in the team event.
Perhaps Roglic can come back to his old self and win another gold in the team event?

Now that I saw, there's no traditional team event (lol???) which cuts Rogla's chances to make the team..
Nonetheless, I'm hyped. Get him to the super team event!

Rogla being an Olympian will for sure strengthen the team with the mere presence, national coach being a part of the team Rogla became world champion with, as for the team event, brothers and sisters flying together, mesmerising. As for individual events, with a bit of luck it should bare fruit massively, with current prices of prestigious metals likely to even bump Slovenian GDP.

Rogla winning gold in the OG and then beating Pogi in MSR would be epic.

Indeed, especially considering Rogla is the only Olympian in between them and neither yet won MSR. Ideally for Rogla to win an one day race event, week long stage race and at a GT, all in 2026 season. By doing that not only beating Pogi but all remaining participants. That would likely enable Rogla to participate at the 2027 edition of the Tour with a VIP invitation, not the invitation offered for the 2026 edition the one to respectfully decline.

Only 35 days till Rogla races again, that is less then his age!

I don't think he'd have achieved more victories than Remco at the start of this season.

We'll see at Tirreno against Del Toro. The memories of Emilia last year aren't good.

Roglic was quite clearly burnt out after the Tour and didn't really get back into good shape after. And it's telling that he spent quite some time at altitude trying to get ready for the WC, delayed getting back down and didn't race the ITT, and then after the WC he was worse in Lombardia despite that being the easier race that suits him better.

Del Toro's numbers are clearly inferior to Roglic's best performances in 2024 and 2023 on similar climbs (and with more fatigue), and similar to Primoz's few good performances last year, but obviously it remains to be seen whether he can recover that level, and even then, based on the course, he would still be less favorite than Del Toro at Tirreno if I'm being objective.

It makes no sense to compare numbers between seasons, or today we'd have to say that Plapp is a better climber than Yates and Pogacar.

Every race has its own circumstances; what matters is the time gap between the rivals. We'll have to see if the gap isn't the same as in races like Emilia. Tirreno-Adriatico course demands similar explosive efforts.

There was some guy Podlogar or whatever who was performance analyst or director for RBH and he made the mistake to go on some podcasts and expose himself just how little understanding he has. I was quite hopeful for Rg's sake when I read that he was gone from the team. However, based on Remco's performances, maybe they have someone even worse now. Hopefully that is not the case and Rog, himself, knows what he needs to do.
