Will you humbly give credit when credit is due when you are proven incorrect?

airstream said:What incorrect? No, I can not help wondering by a general Contador's perception that is built basically on the 2011 Giro and the 2009 Tour, when he could allegedly have generated 3-4 Verbiers if he'd needed to. According to many, everything we've seen in the GTs wasn't cycling at all. Really funny.

So I don't get what you mean, unless you think that the best GT specialist can easily win the Giro and the Tour in one season.
movingtarget said:I think he is indirectly talking about the D word. That Contador's performances were not genuine ? Otherwise I am also confused.
airstream said:in any case i always prefer not to be up in the clouds. the past guarantees nothing for contador especially with this Froome. Froome rode the Tour having something in the tank, the same as Contador in the Giro did.that will be interestng to compare them. though, in my view, to win the vuelta is easier then to finish 5th in the tour.

Miburo said:And he broke his training records 2 times this year, without any accident he should win easy.
Panda Claws said:I would love to see a poll about who'll win the Vuelta, because way too many people seem to think Froome can go head-to head with Contador.
He'll be looking at Alberto's back the entire time, until he gets out of sight that is.

contador, quintana, cobo, froome, henao, anton, purito, de gendt
my god _O_
still I don't see henao help froome. uran I'm sure will help though

Arguably Cadel Evans off form, Nibali and VdB are not the best test.
A rookie like Pinot match his last sprint in La Toussuire, in Peyragudes he destroyed the competition and had to wait Wiggo. At La Planche des Belles Filles he pushed the last two km and win the sprint by 2 seconds with Cadel and Wiggo. Nibali was 7 seconds behind.
In la Vuelta when was he free from his duties he was unable to make a gap with Cobo.
I see he is better than last year but still is far behind of the performances of Contador and even Andy's ones.
Hopefully next year we can see Contador vs Froome (as a leader) vs Andy (without Frank). To me will be like Tour 2009 where we settle an hierarchy. With Contador ban, Andy silly/unlucky season and SKY invasion we need a new hierarchy.

movingtarget said:The majority of those riders would have finished 20 minutes behind in the tour. One stage win in the Giro and De Gendt has become a great climber ? The Tour did not have much action in the mountains because of Sky's tactics, not because none of the climbers could climb.
