This bloke was injured suddenly comes back super strong at the Dauphine and has jumped another level at the tour where everyone is at their top level. Hmmm.

Yes, everyone has jumped up to "their top level", some after quite a mediocre set of results in the lead up to the Tour. Today Aru was not marked, and made the most of it. Great timing, great ride. Remains to be seen if he can get away when marked.

Not sure who in the top 10 today isn't beyond suspicious.

Not surprising that aru rode well. He was in solid shape a month ago and after his injury had plenty of further headroom. Froome, having being relatively underraced, also shouldn't be much of a surprise.

I don't see Porte lasting, I've felt for a while that he was too fit too early.

This w/kg measurements are all wrong anyway, since we all know that Aru officially increases his weight like an anorexic school girl. Apparently his race weight has been around 58-59 kilograms on 1.83 meters in the past (2015 Giro) which is incredibly skinny. Guy's got the figure of a race horse. No body fat visible at all.

yea, i just saw an instagram video of him paling around with a fellow Astana rider and he's frighteningly thin

I think you have a mistake. I thought he was 1.72 meters

I'm sure they're both clean.

Was he faster than Froome '12?
Apparently yes.

So heard now from 2 riders in the Tour in the last week that they think Aru is not clean..private conversations

I laugh at this. Aru has not been clean since he was 16. Why the shock? But we all should cheer for him as he’s the only jacked up Italian to take it to the jacked up Sky. Bring it on!

Given a choice of rooting for a dirty rider who comes with a truckload of political junk and a dirty rider who comes with much less baggage I will usually go with the latter.

With that said, if Aru wins a Tour or two I'm sure things will get messy.

Froome fakes mechanicals and suddenly becomes the world's best climber again soon after, riding his motorbike. Who cares whether Aru ain't clean?

so, faking a mechanical is now a marginal gain...? Ot trying to turn Aru into a bad guy because he attacked when he saw Froomie's ruse...

I'm not really sure what to believe in that mechanical. The only lasting image I have was of Froome spinning like a madman and going nowhere. I would like to see more video of the mishap, if available.

With so few opportunities in the Tour, Froome whenever he fails jaded can fake a mechanical

What I always suspects on this forum...no one really wants to know the truth .Just full of hypocrisy

Basically its all right if Aru is doping as long as he beats Froome....total bull .. and from the same people who endless point fingers at others.

I hope (but i doubt it) Aru goes pop before the end of the Tour

He is riding against riders like Dan Martin & Romain Bardet who are clean...in fact I would also say Froome & Porte & Uran but who wants to know the truth when you have an axe to grind

I am out of this ridiculous biased one way junk shop
