Do riders get more points based on whether they are leader/ leader 2/ domestique, or are those just names, and each rider on the team is as important?

Nope, points are allocated purely as per the scoring list.

the catagories are just to stop people taking all sprinters, or all gc contenders (or if they are really weird all domestiques)

a 1/4 of their points came from the ttt mind.

I wasn't thinking of how the riders actually performed but rather how they were evaluated before the race when their prices were assigned. Henderson was one of very few good sprinters in the Giro so putting him as a domestique costing 2 is completely ignorant. They even priced all the other Sky riders higher.

If we look at how riders scored then there were some absolute bargains out there but that couldn't be known beforehand.

you can choose contador as a leader or a wildcard, but you can only choose frank schleck as a wildcard
doesnt make sence.
so if i wanted contador and schleck (and had another leader as well) i would have to choose schleck as the leader and contador as a wildcard

What are you talking about? Both Fränk and Andy Schleck are listed in the all rounder tabs as well as the wildcard tab.

The possibility of something happening to Contador is why I chose that team. Going against the grain offers the possibility of doing really well..or really badly. What chances do you really have of winning if you are stuck in the huge group of teams relying on Contador?
