The problem is that the transfer system allows most everybody to have Antón, Nibali, Purito and what not by now. And Gilbert too, for anyone who had given it a second worth of thought (I didn't )

The only way to gain an advantage is to get lucky with a breakaway or with your choice of mediocre sprinters.

Having staked a lot on Anton will be a hammer-blow for the purists amongst us.

I'm not a purist but I had him in from the word go and didnt change him. Sad what happened to him and Martinez.

From a purely-Fantasy Vuelta point of view, losing Antón is not a problem (for non-purists). I imagine most everybody had him at this point.

I'm glad I picked Le Mevel as filler for this stage, he got me 8 nice, unexpected points.

Aye, just a loss on the day against those that had Roche or Moncoutie, but I'll live.

BTW, just out of curiosity, how much have people to spend on teams by now (team value + remaining credits)?

It's 163.2 for me today, but I hardly ever use all the points on a team.

Just great. I had a couple of transfers left, but I didn't bother trading Van Avermaet in this once because I didn't need more credits anyway, and the guy decides to get on the breakaway and do a good final climb. Gah. I had had Van Avermaet in 90% of the stages so far.

Well its all over. I got the Mini league for what thats worth and 11th in the main competition so no free bike for me.

Ryuagas got the purist comp with team tesla so thats a notable success for him.
I only recently sussed that you get ten points for rolling in last in GC every day and that must of cost me about 150 points but there you. A very odd scoring system.

Congratulations Ryaguas, he won the purist league though i sincerely doubt he will ever find out about this
I think i could have beaten him if it was not for Antons crash. I was catching up all the way up to that point.

Bumping this so that Ryagas can have a moment of glory. Idiot entered a super team, then left for 5 months and never realised that he won.

Looking at his team it was quite good.
