Meh... I pretty much always root for the 'smaller' footballing country too... But I have a lot of personal connections to Portugal, so I've always supported thm as my '2nd team'.

I'm just supporting for any (non-North) African team this year. Don't like Portugal (the football team that is) and never did.
I usually support Italy as my '2nd team' but they won the last time

I just consider everything above 'the sand' not-really Africa, don't ask me why. Never liked watching teams like Egypt, Tunisia or Algeria.

they barely touched him, the first time was no contact and a dive, the second one was to remind him what contact felt like, and the third one he saw the leg so dived over it and got booked.

Brazil is likely going to massacre *Korea later on, so Portugal & Ivory Coast are left to claim whatever they can get in order to move to the next round....

I don't know. North Korea are likely going to play conservatively. I think 1-0 or maybe 2-0 is far more likely.

Unless the peoples republic is using clinic type help (which Communist dictatorships have been known to do), or pointing guns at the players families to get the best out of them, (which facist dictatorships have been known to do) i wouldnt expect them to be able to handle Brazil.

Decades of famine have destroyed the people in North Korea. The average person in South Korea is 6cm taller than the average person in North Korea. This is not a country capable of producing athletes and dont expect them to offer anything.

Hopefully this will be reminiscent of Germany Saudi Arabia in 2002 and i would think North Korea will be worse than the Saudis were then.
