"Tropic Thunder" at Natal before Mexico-Cameroon,anyways Mexico for the win.It seems Chicarito will be on the bench and wtf Carlos Vela not even selected in WC team:confused:

You might remember the party that he and a few other players threw when they were on international duty. He was singled and he got criticised hugely for it back in Mexico.

I don't think he has ever forgotten about that and the new Mexico manager went to Sociedad during the season to speak to him and couldn't convince him to come back.

He's after developing into a fine player since leaving Arsenal. Looks like he could be coming back after the Sociedad president's comments. Arsenal have first option for 3.5m and there's talk they will either bring back and keep him, or buy him back and then sell him for a huge profit. My own preference is to bring him back and move on Podolski.

I think to remember that Vela himself said he didn't want to go, because he wasn't fit enough and didn't want to risk his club football.

He had a bust up with the previous manager and the new manager after meeting him said he gave him the impression of having no interest in returning.

Guillem Balague, a Spanish football journalist said even before the Mexico manager met Vela, that Vela wouldn't return whatsoever.

I am thinking that Holland might get a decent result here. Might put a cheeky bet on them since I got a little bit of cash to play with after putting $100 on Brazil to win 3-1 :)

Ohh you beast!Good one:eek::)
How where the odds? You probably won something like 1200 bucks no?:)

10-1 so got back $1000. I did put $100 for 3-0 score but still did ok.

I am betting much more than I normally would because I put a few bets on the last day of the EPL which came in so just 're-investing' that money. The way I look at it is that even if I lose everything I have only lost my initial outlay of $200 from May.

I also fancy Holland and Chile but will probably put something down for Mexico rather than Cameroon.

**** goal line technology. Using video evidence should be all or nothing.

It would take 2 seconds to check if something really was offside. I hate the argument that only teams that have goals wrongly ruled out for not crossing the line deserve justice.

LOLlolol... Just switched on the TV, and saw the replay of a fine goal scored by MEX... wait... no... Well, not in the eyes of the refs.

2nd Game, 2nd game changing wrong decision (actually 2 1/2 since the CRO non given Goal was a 50/50 decision)... Guys, the record will be broken. 50% of the games decided by the refs (like in 2010) won´t do it this time. If it goes on like this we might end up with 2/3rds. I give the benefit of the doubt to regression to the mean. I mean it can´t be every game, can it?

How can this be the most popular game of the world?

Thinking about how many players and coaches from my home city are competing in the World Cup, which city has the most participants?

For Berlin:

Coaches:
Nico and Robert Kovac.

Goalkeepers: None

Defenders: John Anthony Brooks, Jerome Boateng

Midfielders: Kevin-Prince Boateng, Ashkan Dejagah, Sejad Salihovic

Attackers: None

Five Players, Two Choaches. That should be pretty easy to beat.

Better technology would make the referee less powerful re bribes.

Because it's the best sport in the world.

And everybody loves to complain about the referees. Imagine they were always right, what else could we talk about :D

Serious?

How about that: We could discuss the game. The beauty of goals, the players, the tactics, the stats.... Refs are there to have the game played by the rules, but not to influence the games.

Lovely Tool here: http://www.zdf.de/ZDFmediathek/#/event/2107848/fifawm2014/match/2140818/multiangle

You can see that the linesman is woefully positioned and he can easily believe it's offside because only looking at the central defenders and the striker, it looks like it. He has a bad angle and should've been much better positioned.

That's football.

Again no goal? For the third time. What is going on. :D

Well this I cannot explain... again the assistant referee? That guy is just very very bad.

Oh Jesus

A farce worse than I (yes I, me, the one who thinks... err... knows the game is rotten) ever imagined.

How about MEX shots 8 goals? Will one count?

This time I think he was right though.
OK, he wasn't. Was a close call though...

But I support the call for using video images. But I think Blatter is too old to even figure out how his VCR recorder works...

Really? What did you see? I saw no foul and certainly no offside.
I thought it was a guy of Mexico who touched the ball the first time. In that case it would have been offside. But it was a Cameroon player.
