Gutted for Chile, they really gave it good go. Brazil have been average so far this world cup yet are now in the QF's. I cant see them beating Germany, Holland or Argentina on their showing so far though.

Going for a 2-1 Colombia win tonight with Cuadrado and Rogriguez continuing to shine.

Brazil have 5 days now to recover. That's quite a lot. Should be fine for 90 minutes at least against Colombia.

Brazil's advantage will be that Colombia haven't really been tested yet.

agree on all points. In addition to that,I dont think their offensive play will be a good idea against brasil,:confused:Hulk played really well today, and hopfully! Jo will be in a starting line-up.I think Chile was so close cuz they defended Neymar really well (he had 2 big goal opport.,so still not ideal) and I dont think Colombia can do that.He will have more freedom,so one goal from him is almost certain.Of course it may not be a decider, cuz it should be something like 2-3,2-1 etc

Good to see Colombia continuing Quintana's success :)

Yeah. But I guess this surpasses Quintana's Giro by a lot. Or am I wrong? Any Colombians here to shed some light on this?

Brazil probably won't sit back as much as Uruguay in the beginning. Plus Brazil are very very vulnerable at the flanks, which should play into Colombia's hands.
I am very very confident that they can beat Brazil.

Sorry, in which universe did Hulk play well? I thought he was aweful and his penalty was ludicrous.

Luiz Gustavo will miss the next game so it'll be interesting who the two Central Midfielders will be for the Colombia game.
Hernanes will probably miss out, as Scolari will not certainly play him without a pure DM like Gustavo along side him.
I personally would push Luiz to MF and bring in Dante in to defence.
Both Paulinho and Ramires look awful

And Perhaps it's time to play Hulk as central striker. It's like playing with 10 men when Fred and Jo are on the team.

Colombia really should be too good for Brazil, but this Brazilian team seems to have all the luck in the world.

He played well in comparison with first 3 matches. He did individual attacks and it looked like finaly somebody can pass to each other with Neymar. He also had 2 goal chances in which he positioned himself brilliantly.
I agree with post of the asian, that he should play central striker of course, that would be even better.

IMO the big problem with selecao is that more than half team is playing bs.
Fred,Oscar,Paulinho,Jo,Alves,Ramires sh:t half

Cesar,Luiz,Silva,Neymar,Gustavo,Fernandinho good half
and then there are so/so players Marcelo,Hulk,Willian

And this is not good enough, you can have one or two players in starting lineup who play rubbish, but not half of the team.
Fred is utter rubbish, this is not even funny anymore.

Belgium least travel. The team they face in the r16 most.
Which is exactly what I told you before the competition Buffalo Soldier;)
Also right on Belgium being to able to rest starters for game 3 since the group was so poor.

They also play every match in the cold south and have next to 0 travel between games. 800km total between their 3 games, compared to something like 6000 for Brazil and maybe more for some others.

The team they play in the round of 32 meanwhile, whoever it is, have all their games in the tropics and have massive distances to travel between games. + will be bruised and battered from the group of death while Belgium might even be able to rest starters for game 3.

Hulk is just as bad as Fred, but he has a better work ethic. It's like Neymar has been coupled with two strikers from Wigan Athletic.

he is not that bad as Fred:eek:.the last sentence is true tho:(
