Slightly disagree...I didn’t say motors in bikes are a conspiracy, anyone can buy one. The conspiracy theory is that they’re being used to win races at the very highest level in the sport, leading to the UCI spending time and money carrying out regular checks despite not one single motor ever having been found in the history of any WT races.
The response is not proportionate to the risk/likelihood...it’s a reaction to rumour spread online by a very vocal minority

Bike-motors aren't a conspiracy theory, they exist and they work, which is why it's necessary to check to make sure nobody is using them in pro racing.
The conspiracy theory is that the UCI tolerates the use of motors, and I don't believe in that.
