Froome better treat Oman seriously for a win cause when he meets the new Movistar legion he is fked.

It's cute that you think there's someone out there who doesn't realize you're trolling. Let me give you a hint on how to troll effectively: stop sucking at it.

Why? Are you worried Dowsett has passed on Froome's secret recipes or something?

Asked by VeloNews what it would realistically take for fans to truly believe, Froome said it was a matter of repetition.

“From a personal point of view, I’d like to think it’s going to take a few, a few, consecutive … Tour wins that aren’t ruined by doping cases. Personally that’s what I’d like to see, and the only way for me to guarantee that is for me to win. I’d love to see that,” he said. “I genuinely would.”

Hitch.

An athlete can only 100% guarantee that one person is not doping themselves. (Assuming of course they are telling the truth).
They can believe in, not have any doubts over, or other such phrases about other athletes, but only truly can know about themselves.

Taking the final paragraph and splitting it.
From a personal point of view, I’d like to think it’s going to take a few, a few, consecutive … Tour wins that aren’t ruined by doping cases. Personally that’s what I’d like to see,

Who can argue with that as a sentiment? Its takes time to rebuild confidence. I'd have phrased it differently, not using 'cases' for example, as that give a false implication of no doping cases = no doping.

Then the final bit:
the only way for me to guarantee that is for me to win. I’d love to see that,” he said. “I genuinely would"

He can only guarantee himself as clean. Same as any other athlete. I think you are reading too much into the second part whilst the focus should be on the first part.

It is going to take years* of tour wins untainted by doping to rebuild any level of confidence.

*A generation at least IMHO, so that people can look back to 15-20 years ago, beyond the statue of limitations and see if anything did come up.

Have doubts about the guy if you wish (and I know I have a few reservations), but assuming for a moment he is clean, isn't that the sort of interview you would want to hear ?

no...he should immediately release test results from pre-vuelta 2011...then offer up a blood samples every day of the tour (with his team mates) so that can be studied and physiologists can look at how the body responds to a GT as team leader and GT winner...if he really wants to be viewed clean why not...the limited figures released last year mean he is basically the fittest human ever measured...so what if other cyclists know your numbers, not much they can do if you're better than them....

but...no...more pish....

He's either incredibly naïve or has an incredibly good sense of humour.

This.

If his magic is to do 120rpm on HC climbs, well, he's the only one who can do it. All the data release in the world won't hurt him.

It says in the article Froome is staunchly anti-doping in his views, but who has he ever spoken out against in the past since his rise to success?

All I ever him say is the "things have changed now" mantra la la la.......

1) Where does sceptic say that it's a shock?
2) Do you agree with him that his performance is better than last year? If not, why?

Well, he did take 22 seconds in 1.5 km and destroyed the previous records on the climb. And keep in mind Froome is going to peak for 6 months now so he is still far from his best.

in before tailwind and Horner is better.

So clearly people were generally faster this year for whatever reason!

Whatever reason in this sport only points to one thing.
