I see what you did there. Removing the 'do not.' You're too witty by half.

Anyway, the thread is here in anticipation that Froome is a name that won't quietly disappear into the annals of history with everyone satisfied that everything checks out and is tickety-boo.
Here was an excellent sample of one of Froome’s pre-Vuelta efforts back in 2009, when he felt confident enough to launch an attack.
In the words of Mathew Kelly. "What an amazing transformation!"

Mastersracer believes everyone who suspects sky dope ought to be in a mental assylum.
Not an irreconcilable difference?

Yes, Sky use doping, but I don't see why they are more sinful in this aspect than others. Very likely, Sky use more advanced doping than all the rest, but this circumstance doesn't make them more honest, innocent and clean.
Benotti69 said:What a load of tosh. So doping is ok. Well then why post in the clinic?
Sky are claiming they are clean? OPQS are not! Neither are other big teams.
That is why they are getting slaughtered in the clinic. It is taken for granted that most of the others are by the mere silence on doping. that Sky proclaims its cleanliness while destroying and dominating races means people are going to call them on it.

For me it means the only thing: Sky are not so centralized like US Postal and allow many riders to show themselves up. In addition, Sky riders are obviously sronger separates units than US Postal ones.DirtyWorks said:You are just making this stuff up. You didn't even bother looking at the TdF GC results for 2012.
And what? Dominance gets on you more than alleged doping? All of 2012 when Sky's GC team was on-cycle, it was a historic display of dominance.
Do any 'historic norms' exist in this regard?Except for that last TT in 2012 when everyone on the GC squad returned to their historic norms.

It is just as ridiculous as trying to measure hypocrisy by a straightedge. Doping here and doping there. I don't see the difference between calm doping usage and 'noisy' doping usage promoted by Sky.That is why they are getting slaughtered in the clinic. It is taken for granted that most of the others are by the mere silence on doping.
But he says: “I don’t feel like I’ve hit my best form yet. It’s been good but not like I’ve been absolutely flying yet. I feel on the rise but I’ve still got a few weeks to the Tour, there’s still headroom.”

Hasn't even been in the wind tunnel yet !
"I'm not actually sure that my climbing would be necessarily better than any of my rivals," Froome said. "But the time trial is something I've been working on quite a bit. I went to the wind tunnel for the first time a week ago so that was interesting to see if there are any small changes I can make there to get a bit faster."
JimmyFingers said:
His second three-week training block finished there two weekends ago before he flew back home to Monaco to celebrate his birthday before heading to Southampton to work in the wind tunnel there to focus on his time trialling, an area he is still trying to improve.
Despite winning bronze in the discipline at last year’s Olympics, he said: “I still feel like I have a lot more work to do on it and the wind tunnel, which I’d never been in before, was aimed at shaving off even more time if possible.”
Froome has fought a long battle with bilharzia, a parasite that attacks the body and is notoriously difficult to shake off. He was tested for it in January (he is checked every six months) and once more the tests came back positive, leading him to take another course of biltricide, what is effectively poison.
“It’s a bit of a nightmare as it can lay dormant for ages,” says the Team Sky rider, who has undergone five separate treatments to rid his body of the *parasite. “I think that’s probably the biggest concern for me, in terms of training and preparing for a Grand Tour.”
the sceptic said:Oh, guess Dawg will be pushing 480 watts as well this year now that he has discovered wind tunnels.
What do you say Jimmy, do you think Froome is clean? or are you "not sure" about him.
JimmyFingers said:I'll admit his transformation is extreme, which I know rings the most alarms. I'd also say the bilharzia is convenient to muddy the waters of that transformation, but there is a degree of plausibility to it aswell, as there is plausibility to that transformation coming through drugs.
So I'm prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt until I know otherwise. At that point the beers are on me![]()
the sceptic said:Its funny that the guy that was beating Cancellara all year last year didnt really even bother with time trials that much. But now that he has trained, and been in a wind tunnel, he is going to go like Lord Wiggins in 2012.

It is cycling common truth. I think almost no one on here would argue with that. However, exactly Sky case bring so a mass hysteria on the forum. Apparently, LA's affair exasperated the Clinic to the bitter end. I know many clinic regulars firmly believe in Lemond's cleanliness. They are entitled to believe. Though, I disagree.

There are many comparisons to US Postal. But somehow no one noticed that when US Postal towed LA, no one could attack and no one tried, with Sky we observe plenty of that. Plus, US Postal didn't have such a superior set of climbers like Sky have.
And I'm openly asking Fearless Greg Lemond and administrator ferryman stop calling my post trolling. Learn to take opinions you dislike, dear gentlemen.
