How/why Froome is permitted to never test positive remains an interesting question.

Using the word 'permitted' makes it a leading question.

Probably more likely that its a combination of the tests not working as well as the authorities would like and Froome having a great doctor somewhere.

My guess would be that somewhere is in the US.

Armstrong/Ullrich was never a fight anyway, apart from 2003. all In 2001, 2004 and 2005 it was clear after the Prologue he couldn't win. Even in 2000 my father when I asked him for a prediction before the Tour that Ullrich won't stand a chance.

Froome and Contador are a lot closer in their level.

I think It depends on the type of fracture. I had a fracture in my arm (radius) and I was able to ride my bike after 2.5 weeks while being extremely careful. His case is much more extreme compared to me though.

Wait, that's not proof of doping though...

Technically, it is NOT 'proof' of doping and you are smart enough to know the difference. However, it is highly suspicious, which was the point of my post. My statement might've seemed naive, but I don't think anybody can honestly state what the current doping programs of the top riders are. They do seem effective though.

No I haven't. It's relatively easy to drop someone after wheelsucking them after they have been riding flat out on the front for 5km. Not remotely comparable to the way Froome was able to drop Purito and Valverde in an instant. It's unlikely Contador would have been able to drop them if Froome had not been there to do it for him.

But given that Cobo was 57 seconds slower over the last 6 km and Alberto is supposed to have been only 2-3 seconds faster in the last 4 km , that means in 2011 they would have climbed from - 6 km to - 4 km a whole 55 seconds slower?
I mean were they freewheeling ? That close to the finish in a decisive stage? 55 seconds slower in 2 km? The pace from Kennaugh then Nieve was good but not extraordinary. 55 seconds slower in 2 km is almost the difference between GC riders and some riders around 80th place. Seems strange somehow.
