I raced against Bobby Julich and beat him. Maybe I'll finish top 3 in the Tour.

That book was written for dickheads, by a ***.

Incidentally, this thread has 1.7mil views. That's insane.

This is like Wiggo claiming people are wrong to say he could never climb coz he won a hilly stage at the Tour de l'Avenir.

That's why you have Sky fans trying to shoot down message. It's all they've got left.

Do you think Walsh is one of those 1.7m?

Are you referring to you own career there? If so, does that make you a doper then? After all, its widely stated on here that anyone who beats a doper is clearly suspicious and must be doping ...

That's just Hog & Septic going on and off the thread with their daily visits (I jest - see the humour!).

Froome/Walsh's logic is insane. I finished in the same group as Jay Mcarthy at a crit a few weeks ago... Maybe I should ride the Giro too

Agreed. Like Froome beating Alberto Contador, Tour de France winner on a mountain top finish?

A clearly distraught Contador and Porte roll in 2:50 behind the stage winner, 2:09 behind Froome

would have been funnier if you had included yourself

Walsh today about Russia said it shows that doping is still as rampant as ever in sport - which is true and fair enough - yet he still clings to this notion that in the midst of all this, Sky are the one shining light - even during the astana positives he said it shows cycling isn't as clean as maybe he'd thought - but again Sky are obviously the exception - Also with Walsh: last year times were a cottage industry - this year speeds and times with nibali were back in vogue to cast doubt - just like they were with AC, Lance, Ras etc - he moaned in 2009 about AC not giving out his VO2 max results - but it's ok for froome to do precisely this -

When all this blows up, there is a small part of me which would have liked Walsh not to look too foolish and for people not to focus on his Sky work too much, relative to his other body of work, if it wasn't for a few things - his ignorance of cycling and his arrogance in believing Sky are clean - he finished an article saying the baying mob were wrong about lance, that Walsh was right, and that they are wrong about Froome, Walsh is right - his use of the Barabbas analogy - and finally the way he wrongly said the Irish corner was responsible on Alpe d'Huez. He honestly seemed to get a bigger buzz from being a de facto team member than writing anything substantive - which was by the way a plan of Brailsford from way out. Brailsford of course said in July 2013 to journalists - you tell us what you want - journalist says VO2 max - Brailsford says 'be very careful'.

All the work Walsh did with lance - even the book he did called Le Sale de Tour - all of this will be forgotten...

Back to Froome - something will give - he's a loose canon, and by god Cound is one...I'd be shocked if it's a positive test - but something will give - no positive because nobody wants a positive. He'll either fall of a form cliff as dramatically as he rose or there will be a whistleblower.

So it is... I had to look again :p Porte and Hernandez both raced and did a whole lot of work for Contador after he punctured, I assumed it was Porte.

I still want a Sky fan to tell us all what happened on the TT the next day too :D

Two years later Porte was able to lead Froome over Ax3 and after they dropped everyone, Froome too off... Richie got bored and came in 2nd. It's a pity he couldn't help Contador like that

Cleans I tell you! Which gets me back to WTH was Froomie whining about the 2015 TdF route? The guy destroyed climbing specialists and suddenly he's a TT specialist?

100% cleans!

I think Froome and Dr. Bermon matched the route to the drugs they can still take without being detected. Maybe super climbing drugs are not so available anymore. He's only got power ITT drugs left?

I'm sure next season will be just as humorous as the the last two. Pleny of comedy from Dawg\Walsh\Sky. Fingers crossed for some Porte magic again and perhaps Thomas can out ride Sagan/Fabs at Flanders? That would be cool

that would be great, no need to put this
it's again a matter of watching races: question: Sagan/Fabs/Thomas in the final break at Ronde. who would you be rooting for?

Fabian - coz he can't sprint for peanuts :D so he will have to make a break, which is exciting to watch. Much more tension when a non sprinter wants to win out of a break.
