I get the impression, could be wrong, you revere Contador (a proven doper) over Froome (possible doper). I mean if Contador was clean as whistle and out this year due to injury i can see why you might say our white knight is returning. Are you saying their all doped lets pick our fav dopers?

Alberto is NOT a PROVEN doper. God this is so annoying. Why can't people just stick with the facts.

But for once I have to agree with the fangirl,

AC is not "Proven" ofc most suspect he is doped to the gills and personaly I have no doubt, but I feel the exact same way about Froome ^^

I really had hoped PC had gone into a era of "not totaly clean" but no team wide doping and 1 team train tour, but I guess they just got their secound golden age...

I for one will not be watching the last stages of the tour, its been one of the most boring tours post USP era.



But guys, you might see me in the tour next year, I've been told I got a Parasite and if I lose it and lose some weight I might become a star !

Actually Froome told BBC, that the reason he was so good is because the team invented a new training session, its called Sleeping and it appears that if all other teams did it they might be better.

In fairness to Froome on his weight loss, his parasite infection would play a big part in that I would assume and treatment.

He clearly is much leaner/lighter that previously.

Not really, Bilharzia makes you pee blood, attacks your kidneys and / or liver and can give you sores and lesions where you really really don't want them.

It's not a convenient weight loss technique or a handy fat burner, and I'm also struggling to see it as a mildly inconvenient wattage reduction, especially when you suffer from it long term as Froome is said to have done.

Lots of discussion around Froome changing teams but I really don't see it. Sky put him where he is today and when next year's centenary tour profile gets revealed hopefully the mountains will get their due, and in that case they'll have to think seriously about whether to back Wiggins the TT specialist who 'learned' keep up on the hills, or Froome who is more of a natural climber with pretty good TT skills to boot.

Dope aside I'm interested to see the showdown between AC and Froome.

But I have lost all respect since they hired GL etc and refused to show us the transparency they promised long ago... it smells to much about team wide doping, but ofc they should have the benefit of the doubt (we can still suspect and discuss ofc!!)

Neither way, they will still be remembered for giving us a boring **** tour, sadly all my British friends are spamming me with

"We are the best!! we bet all in all sport when there is no doping" etc.. I've heard that once before, back then however it was Americans.

Well a few friends of mine knows Froom's family IRL, they told me he doped as younger aswell... but well.. thats the reality in many sports..

Im not sure what sports your friends are talking about, apart from cricket we aint good at too many lol

In a way boring tour sort of supports a clean sky. Suitable course, well put together team, Wiggins strong in TT and hanging in there on mountains, no Contador/Schleck, Cadel off form.Thats why im gonna reserve judgement til they answer the questions on hand. Only strange performance is Froome

One of the biggest reasons why Bilharzia is so damaging is because like Malaria, most of those infected are from poverty stricken third world countries with little or no access to medical care of any decent standard. Thus the illness hits these populations hard and produced the most damaging symptoms.
What's deadly and debilitating to an African child during a famine isn't going to destroy a person such as Chris Froome by any stretch of the imagination for very very obvious reasons.
Claims by wiki experts that nobody whom has ever contracted the paradise would ever be able to compete at top level is utterly laughable!!

Not sure about that, I knew a guy with Bilharzia here in Cape Town and he wasn't in good shape for a while. It's pretty nasty, and simultaneously odd that, given world-class medical attention, Froome is reported to have been still suffering from it at the beginning of this year, despite them supposedly picking it up when he arrived at Sky, or latest end of 2010.
