If one goes by UCI points -- a flawed metric to be sure, but it does have some value -- there's no contest. Garmin has 393 points to Sky's 231.

But really, the best metric is the team that has Wiggins' fat contract and the team that does not. Garmin wins this category by a landslide.

Not much to choose from in numbers. In terms of visibility and prestige, a world of difference.

I had (too) high hopes for Sky at the beginning of 2010, especially after Flecha won the Omloop Het Nieuwsblad. Garmin, on the other hand, seem to improve every year.

Next year will probably be no different results wise. Sky will have a better year for sure but Garmin has also dropped a lot of dead weight and replaced it with Cervelo awesomesause so they will take a giant step closer to HTC I think.
