I hope Gilbert will finally win, but I guess it's too late for him. Today he wouldn't even make it to Cipressa with the numbers he used to do.
The nutrition is better nowadays so prime Gilbert would be much faster now.
Picnic should totally still offer him a one race contract just to get some media attention and let people remember than Pogi isn't even the only rider who's lacking that final monument,
Nah, Pogi is lacking two. Gilbert is the closest to the slam.
It looked like he had MSR won in the run-in to the finish in 2010 (?) but the Italian Pozzato reeled him and then Goss won the small-bunch sprint.Nah, Pogi is lacking two. Gilbert is the closest to the slam.

2010 is the year of Freire, I believe. IIRC Goss was in 2011It looked like he had MSR won in the run-in to the finish in 2010 (?) but the Italian Pozzato reeled him and then Goss won the small-bunch sprint.
Oh yes, the Belgians were very angry at Pozzato back then iircGoss 2011
Yeah, I was watching a Belgian broadcast and the announcers said his name with such disgust/indignation when they saw he was the one chasing Gilbert.Oh yes, the Belgians were very angry at Pozzato back then iirc
Yup, thanks2010 is the year of Freire, I believe. IIRC Goss was in 2011
Don't worry, Pogi may win any year now.In his post-race interview Del Toro said his role next Saturday is that of a domestique for Pogacar. Trying to help him win MSR... Will UAE ever learn
Nowadays they have their own pozzato 😍Oh yes, the Belgians were very angry at Pozzato back then iirc
Pissing rain and tailwind. What’s the weather expectations? And the wind for the final?
This is good for the racing or no?Pissing rain and tailwind.
The luck mercantilism shall continie until the morale improves
It’s good for Pogacar at leastThis is good for the racing or no?

If they really nuke Cipressa, Pog/MVDP won't be seen again. So there won't be another attack from Del Toro. I also just don't believe UAE will go for a 2 leaders approach to this, because they rather have that Pog might win, than increase their odds with Del Toro as possible winner. They will want to nuke Cipressa again. It's still possible they will attack with Del Toro at least once, they don't have to reveal everything during a PC.

Would MVDP follow a Del Toro attack on Cipressa? Seems like a task he would leave for some second tier contender (Wout) to successfully complete.I meant Del Toro trying sth on Cipressa (and Pogacar reattacking after MVP neutralizes the Mexican). Anyway it will be almost impossible to drop MVP on Cipressa, he's in great form. If they nuke Cipressa and MVP can't be dropped then maybe Pog will slow down and wait for another chance in the finale?
