GC favorites in Paris Roubais

I mean a lot of the roubaix specialists like maaskant, boom, boassen hagen etc didnt do work yet did badly....
Evans and Vino especially look like they could give Roubais and certainly flanders a very good go, if either peaked and trained for flanders i would say they would be major favorites

Unless these guys were gonna do something GC productive to get into the front of the peloton, I don't see what the point is for them to bust nuts. That's a waste of energy that is more useful later, perhaps even tomorrow.

Some GC guys could go well in the Cobbles, no doubt but what are their real aims?

As for specialists not performing, a tour stage vs a classic and 10km of cobbles in the last 40 is a little differetn to a 3rd of the whole stage being cobbled and you have someon who doesn't ride cobbles to look after.
