Most undeserving WC ever, what a **** finish to a great race.
WTF? "Undeserving"?

I'd say he's a great racer. Take a look at what he's accomplished in his career so far. Compare his skills and palmares to Alessandro Ballan, Igor Astarloa, Romāns Vainšteins, Oscar Camenzind...

The was just crap in the end, thor was dropped every single time and gets helped back into it by 5 other nations to fluke a victory.

Guys like Evans, Nibali, Gilbert, etc busted their guts all race for nothing, this is what we call in Australia the bradbury gold medal.

They should have had a truce to wait until the last lap to attack and the sprinters would have never got close.

Looks like everyone had totally shot legs in that sprint (really heavy looking, not like usual sprints). So Thor's strength trumped the other sprinters.

Alpe, is that why you picked Thor beforehand, vis course profile?

Never watch cycling again.

Boy! That was one of the best races I've seen. Got up to watch more than two hours ago, and seems something was happening all the time, entirely unpredictable. And I don't exactly mind a norwegian winning it either. Skål! I'm having a beer, at eight in the morning.

You are clearly thick. It'd be a Bradbury if Evans, Gilbert n co all crashed and the bunch came back.

None of those 25 riders in the "peleton" were having a free ride. That was an absolute spectacle of a race. Anyone who got through it in front is deserving.

Will Breschel still be with Saxo next year (if it doesn't implode with sponsors withdrawing vis Contador absence maybe)?

waiting untill the last lap attacking... doesnt give you hard racing and the sprinters would have had even more people to bring them back... you need to take it for the max on courses like these

Safest bet of the year. Ozzie coverage first, Eurosport one will follow once they have woken up for their delayed broadcast later this morning.

Betinni is going to get sacked in Italy for not bringing any sprinter....

I'm not sure Bennati makes that finishing group, and he certainly doesn't out sprint Thor.

He was one of the first to leave. Riding for Rabo next year

Wow, what an exciting last lap! Congrats to Gilbert for a fantastic effort to escape alone, congrats to Evans and company for running him down, and of course congrats to Thor for the win! Great to see so many riders taking chances and laying it all out on the line.

He did nothing all race, he just sat in the pack and hoped someone would chase it back for him. His team didn't even do any work to bring him back into the race it was all feire/cancellara's men.

If you told Feire's team before the race Oscar wouldn't podium the sprinters would have never got into the race.
