Even though verbruggen was the president at the time mcquaid was up to his eyeballs in it and knew everything about it. Mcquaid only came out to talk about it after landis backed him into a corner. Why didnt mcquaid order an internal investigation. Aldag is right only in cycling would you get away this. Pat Mcquaid even though he is a fellow irishman i have to say is a complete liability to the sport.

Nah, in other sports it wouldn't even reach the media at all.

Has he ever shown any talent at climbing? Seems people are getting carried away with the TT miles at the Tour. The people high up on GC will be the people usually high up on GC, the order will change thats all.

Not really, but he has talked about future TT hopes for quiet a while now. Seems like he feels that this year is the right start to have a go.

I think he says he wants to wear the white jersey after the prologue, not necessarily win it. And that should be possible.

Apparently he had to change the back wheel on his TT bike in the final Giro TT after a few kms, and he still got 8th. That's not too bad.
