He had been in the attack all day, so in my book it's still a great win.

What a fail again by Rabobank, seriously, do they have to ride .2 races to finally win something?

Yeah it's one of those tricky ones. He was in the break all day, but not with the riders that brought him to the finish. He definitely had the legs to take a few turns if he had wanted. Tough one.

Great win, obviously. No problem - Brutt was just the smartest in the end.

Fetisoff: Brutt sat at the back of the group for the last 15-20 km or so, and jumped away at the cobbled stretch at the finish, narrowly holding off Geschke and Schorn. Schorn definitely wasn't happy about it pushing Brutt shortly after the finish line. A little drama, but nothing serious I suppose.

****.. I hope there will be highlights of this. It's unlike Brutt to do something like that though, just sitting at the back

I am surprised he held on. Could be the angle, but there didn't seem to be that much of a gap out of the last corner.

Schorn et al. should've made Brutt work, only got themselves to blame.

How? Pulling a gun on him? They had chatted, I guess Brut's unwillingness to work was the theme. No wonder that Schorn feels robbed.

Well Selig easily won the sprint from the main bunch, so I'd say that justifies Brutt's decision not to help the break...

Well, I'll agree somewhat.
Either way, regardless of whether Brutt's actions were justified or not, what Schorn did was inexcusable.

P.S. I liked the comments in Russian at 11:54 or so of the video. Tsarevitch (I think) goes to Brutt - Cobbles, your favourite (or Cobbles, as you love it). Brutt just says "Pizdets", which is untranslatable, but kinda means "Holy ****"

Pleased to see Brutt win as he's one of my favoured riders but this was unlike him, I guess having Selig there explains it somewhat although it was Pavel that attacked. Just glad he got the win :)

Happy for Brutt ( he is an enterprising rider ). I thought Lithgart would win but he could not even win over Selig in the sprint.

Which is no surprise, as Selig is the far better sprinter of the both.

Levi hit from behind by car:

Leipheimer Injured in Bike/Car Accident
Today, Levi Leipheimer was hit from behind by a car while alone on a training ride in Pais Vasco. Leipheimer suffered soreness and swelling to his lower left leg. He was transported to the hospital where an echo was performed. No broken bones were found, and there is hope that the injury is just a muscle contusion to his left calf.

and from the man himself:

Levi Leipheimer ‏ @LeviLeipheimer
Yes I was hit by a car directly from behind, didn't see or hear it coming. One of the scariest experiences of my life, I'm happy to be alive

That sucks. Probably some idiot who didn't judge the side-distance to overtake correctly. Or maybe Leipheimer was going faster than he expected a cyclist to be. ;)
