Wouldn't that be just awesome if either one of them wins it. Would certainly make Aquarone look even more dumb for not inviting them.

Did the Italian federation reverse their ruling on not allowing riders caught for doping to compete in the national championships though? If so I must have missed it

OK, good. That startlist they have up on cyclingfever.com really sucks

As far as I can remember, FCI didnt speak at all around the ruling so the situation is not clear now.

It's a fantastic team, but perhaps too many egos? If all of them believe they can win, then none of them will do much work...

Hopefully they'll try to light things up at Box Hill and then try setting up the sprint for Freire if things come back together. In theory this team is more than strong enough to make life very miserable for Cavendish...I just hope that they will utilize that chance.

The last time a Spanish National team rode well together was Beijing 08. I wouldn't bet against them screwing this up too :D

Or the Rettenbachferner, that stage was insane in 2005 :)

That was Deutschlandtour too.

Österreichrundfahrt is up there with the Bayern Rundfahrt and the Tour de Wallonie for criminal misuse of the terrain available. At least the Giro della Reggio Calabria and the Vuelta a Andalucía-Ruta del Sol have the excuse of the time of year they take place.

Has Evans' expected team for the TDF ( which is the team for the Dauphinie ).

One of Pinotti, Burghardt and Hushovd expected to take the 9th spot. I feel sad that Cummings will most likely be omitted but he has had a lot of injuries.

Yeah I really pity him, had like 3 or 4 injuries this year alone. Could have been a good domestique for evans.
Hushovd I don't think is riding, he is going to the US to have some medical checkup. It could be serious. He might not ride anymore.
Likely Burghardt.

Burghardt is the obvious choice. Hushovd was supposedly promised a place, but unless he can show some form in TdS there's really no point in taking him.

Hushovd already ruled himself out of the tour years ago I think, cause his wife is having a baby.

Evans will take on the Criterium du Dauphine with a team very close to that expected to flank him at the Tour de France.
Those 8 mine not all have a space in the tour team, there might be some minor changes.

Hushovd is not even on the start list for TdS so I think he can probably be ruled out for the TdF by now. As dlwssonic said he is having some medical checkup in the US so there is probably something wrong with him.

Really sucks for him. This must be the first time since 2000 he doesn't ride the Tour?
