It is clinic stuff. Supposedly removing blood and treating it with UV lights then putting it back in is suppose to boost performance. Something about boosting red blood cells or oxygen or something like that, I forget. But anyways, probably a better discussion for the clinic.

Keep in mind that the blood is extracted and inserted straight afterwards, so it's by no means blood doping. Obviously it's illegal now as anything concerning withdrawal and reintroduction of blood isn't allowed.

No, you stated something as a fact, so you are obligated to provide evidence to back it up. You said it "definitely does not enhance performance". So you need to prove it. I don't know for sure whether it does or doesn't, but it sounds pretty shady. Why would someone who is so staunchly anti-doping participate in a practice involving the extraction and re-infusing of blood? Was he even vocal about doping before he was found out, or just afterwards in order to save face?

about disc brakes on road bikes, that's what a little italian wheels maker told me: Uci biggest sponsor is Shimano. Shimano still has to develop and promote a road disk brake. So Uci is still waiting to give the green light to disc brakes for road bikes.
As soon as Shimano gives the nod, the Uci will say yes to disc brakes for the road.

Wait till 2015 when the GT rights are up for renewal. Sky and BT are going to be fighting for anything and everything in the next few years. If Wiggo, Cav, Froomy and Co can keep up the wins expect one of them to pony up some big money (in cycling terms) for TV rights.

the rights for the tour will be high, but nothing else and those rights are with aso, teams won't get anything from it and uci have no say in it either
