well ... I doubt Lasse Norman (Gold in Omnium last summer) is on that one since he's rumoured to have signed a contract next year with Garmin ... he've been out nodding yes that he've signed a contract, but he won't open up about with whom it's with before Friday after U23 Danish Championships

Norman has just confirmed his signing with Garmin_sharp:

Ryo has died of sheer delight :( RIP Ryo

WTF does Ryo have to do with this. The riders winning that for Colombia - QUintana, Uran Uran and Betancur have been hyped by everyone.

Ryo is the guy who hypes all those domestic riders who are allegedly better climbers than Nibali.

I'm waiting to see dudes like Infantino or Camargo Tenorio to show their climbing skills

Edit: I'm pretty sure that Oscar Sevilla is better than nibali :p

To be honest Ryo hyped those guys before most of us had even heard from them. Now they're hyped by everyone, yes.

He simply said that Ryo would be thrilled, which I'm sure he is. I thought the exact same when I saw it. And you're being too dismissive. Sure, we all hype Henao, Nairo, Betancur, and the rest now, but Ryo was certainly ahead of the game with regards to the Colombian wave.

Edit: Ok, Arnout already made the last point (I guess my browser wasn't refreshed).

Poor hitch.

“In the desert,
I saw a creature, naked, bestial,
who, squatting upon the ground,
held his heart in his hands,
and ate of it."

"I said, ‘Is it good, friend?’
‘It is bitter - bitter,’ he answered,
‘but I like it,
because it is bitter,
and because it is my heart.”

But Ryo hyped that many guys that he was bound to get some right sooner or later.

Someone (maybe Libertine?) once compared a poster (I can't remember if it was Ryo or someone else) to the NME, saying more or less "they hype any band. If the band gets famous, they can say that they discovered them first. If they don't, no one will remember that they hyped them anyways".

Tour de France: Jezek does it first

Czech paralympics winner Jiri Jezek will set the first time at the first ITT of this year's Tour de France.

The 38 year-old, six time gold medalist at the Paralympics, will tackle the 33 km between Avranches and Mont St. Michel on the 11th of July as the first rider.

"I want to show that handycapped people can lead a normal life", says Jezek, who lost his left lower leg in an accident.

I was actually starting to look forward to all those Blanco riders at another team, to see if it was really Blanco causing some of these seemingly talented riders to underperform, or whether they just arn't that talented.

but ah well, I guess it's a good thing for the sport, so I should be glad about it. :p
