I have a question and there didnt seem to be a suitable thread so I'll have to ask it here.
Regarding the bunch all gets the same time rule, why if 2 bunches finish separated by 1 second is the gap not 1 second? Instead it is the gap between the first rider of bunch 1 and the first rider of bunch 2 but this makes no sense to me. Can anyone explain why they do it this way? cheers
I'm not 100% sure I understand your question... But supposing I did: group 1 gets to the line at 5h51'30'' (timing of the first rider of the group)... after, say, 10'' all the riders of the group have passed, and 2'' later the first rider of group 2 gets to the line, exactly at 5h51'42''... therefore the gap between the two groups is 12". It's a pretty consistent way of representing the gaps. Not sure how you could come up with a different system that would prevent a mess.
