I was thinking this but with the added expectation that nibs will be in the rainbow jersey when he is gifted msr next year by organizers.

Canc goes on pompeiana, tows nibs + 1 along with him completely disregarding basic road cycling tactics, and as long as its not sagan he will out "sprint" the other guy in the closing meters

At the same time he wants to reduce the team sizes to 25, I assume that will mean less starting each race per team then.

Not only would that hurt riders seasons and training, but also a number of smaller races. You wouldn't be getting many big name riders at smaller races, they would have to conserve their race days for the big races.

An utterly stupid idea, hopefully we won't have to deal with him for much longer.

When he started the whole Pro Tour idea, he said it was for having the bigger names riding the whole season and not concentrating just on some races (like TdF).
Now going the opposite direction.

From the women's peloton: About half of the teams at the Giro di Toscana decided to abandon the race due to dangerous situations on the road, mainly due to regular traffic. This includes the race leader, Marianne Vos, as Rabobank Liv/Giant is among the teams to quit the race. This could be a big blow for women cycling.

This situation:

When a Norwegian team-mate came into his room and found Dowsett with a needle in his arm, he shouted. ‘What are you doing?’

Must've been pretty awkward. But of course, I don't really see what should've stopped him from standing up at the big December-team-gather - which all teams to have - and simply say "OH, By the way; I got haemephilia."
