Okay, this isn't actually news but didn't wanna post this in the actual race-threads.

Can anyone tell me if the World Champs is going to be broadcast on any of the Norwegian or Swedish channels? Coz in Denmark it's going to be broadcast by Viasat, and I can't watch that!
German might be an option too...

all times & broadcasting stations are listed on the website of the uci...

...but for Norway, Denmark and Sweden it's all TBA, and as far as I know it's Viasat for all three. And in Germany there is no coverage at all.

as no one bought the rights for the coverage in Germany it will be available on the UCI Youtube-channel at least, but that's not the case for Denmark.

Seams that Sojasun will fold and the company of Sojasun is pulling out as sponsor of the team. General Manager Stéphane Heulot previously set himself a deadline of October 1st to find a new sponsor.

What a sad day. Euskaltel's end confirmed. Now @gilerock reports end of Sojasun.

The Sojasun team stops. Sale time ...

Ok, so Europcar is like the 3rd or 4th team in the last few weeks to have their bikes stolen. Every year this happens to a couple of teams. I just don't get it. Install a good alarm system and/or hire a security guard, something...

I get that these are probably professional bike thieves but I feel like the teams can do a much better job protecting their equipment. Particularly the WT and bigger Pro Conti squads.

I've been trawling wikipedia here

but I am still puzzled.

Do the results of the UCI Worlds Road Race (won by Rui Costa this year)
not contribute to UCI WorldTour ranking points?
If not can some one explain the logic?

Expecting everything the UCI does to be logical is itself illogical, but largely because the definition of WT races is those that WT teams are entitled/obliged to take part in. That obviously does not apply to the WCRR.

UCI races new future

• The season will now run from February to October.
• Competition on every weekend, especially Sundays.
• No overlapping of events.• No competition amongst first and second division events.
• Six weeks of uninterrupted competition focused on the spring classics.
Stage races cut to five or six days.

Paris-Nice and Tirreno not overlap?

Giro and California not overlap?

Suisse cut to 5-6 stages

WILL the 3 GT keep their 3 weeks? (23 days) ? I HOPE SO
