I absolutely desperately hope the Astana Be Pink jerseys are basically clones of the men's kit but pink instead of the Kazakh turquoise.

Not quite. The Russian takeover went wrong, and the main shareholder blames the CEO for thwarting the process, and wants to see money (tens of millions of euros). The CEO happens to be the driving force behind the cycling sponsorship.

Oh, thanks.

The Astana Be Pink team look like Air Astana flight attendants. It's the scarves that do it, I think.

The Giant sponsorship of 1t4i turns out to be for 4 years, not one. Which immediately makes them one of the more stable teams around.

Question for the experts; wasnt Rapha abandoning the Rapha Condor sponsorship by claiming a different project for 2014 onward?

No MTN. like that Colombia is in there with a second chance, but was hoping MTN would get in as well. :( At least Neri will keep the Giro peloton colorful.

So what team gets the place of Euskaltel? Europcar, I presume?

Pretty reasonable that Colombia gets another go, after all they were massively hurt by the cancelled mountain stages and did reasonably well in the other stages.

yep, Gautier and Berhane FTW. Seriously though the Italian focus makes some sense at this point.

Colombia might have a better plan running into the Giro this year.

not really considering they will take just as bad a pre-seaosn again in full scale europe in january and duarte is a lost cause with his mentality.

lol at giving yellow fluo a wild card. Either they are going to suck, since they dont have any good riders anymore, or someone will start flying. Either way, dont see how that "promotes Italian cycling" or whatever their reasoning is.

they also started the giro completely out of form and it dioesn't seem that corti learns one bit from it. also it was full scale winter in may which sucks for them as well

they are just as bad as bardiani. in italy the giro is big so it's important italian teams ride it. even if they don't win a stage.
