On CQ on their transfer tracking, they already have a merged Garmin Cannondale team. So is there officially a merger of the teams? I thought that canondale goes there as a bike sponsor with cervelo leaving? If there is a merger, anyone has a link to some kind of official announcement and what about the riders and their contracts?

To what extent can there be a merger? The licence is either held by one or other of the existing teams, with a recruitment policy that might or might not favour those made redundant by the other, or it is a new team, which has informal contacts with those currently at Garmin/Cannondale that might, or might not, result in job offers.

I guess it'll be done like the Cervélo/Garmin merger. So the ~8-10 riders with a contract for next year with Cannondale will join the new team.

Well, if i go to corporate law, we have 2 companies, both holding a WT license. If the shareholders decide to combine, we have a merger, so one company takes the assets and liabilities over of the other (merger by absorption). Which makes sense as you keep running sponsor contracts, riders, staff.... Or you don't do that and JV just takes cannondale over as a bike sponsor and offering a deal to the riders under the premise that the other team folds for lack of sponsors....as I don't know which was done, hence my post, is there sth official around this

But they can't use two licences, two exclusive supply contracts, two full squads of riders and staff... Only one set of assets is useful at a time.

I assume it's gonna be a 1.1 race. You hardly see new races getting a .HC classification.

And I'm pretty sure Libertine or so will come up with a much better course in the final using mountains close to Bastia. ;)

Wonderful! Is it .hc?
that mountain should be a little bit more in the middle but, yeah, it looks good:)
Just reverse it and it will be a decent enough parcours.

Don't think it's posted anywhere, and I thought it be might be more appropriate on a subforum that actually has traffic.

Dutch MTB'er and cyclocrosser Annefleur Kalvenhaar (20) passed away after a heavy crash in Méribel, during quali's of the cross country eliminator event. She had heave brain trauma after crashing on a bridge, was transported a hospital in Grenoble by trauma helicopter, where she eventually died from her wounds.

She was regarded as a huge talent in both MTB and cyclocross

RIP:(:(:(
