Okay. Route looks like this now:

1 Pinhel > Vilar Formoso (145k)
2 Sabugal > Fundão (192k)
3 Sabugal > Penhas da Saúde (192k)

Stage 3 will feature Torre @ km 119 and a mtf in Penhas da Saúde. Rumors also state, that there won't be a Torre mtf in this years Volta a Portugal. Of course there will be a Serra de Estrella stage, but not the classic arrival they had in the last years.

Wow that seems too good to be true, it seems something like the GP CTT Correios of the past.

I'm still holding hope for the return of Porto-Lisboa as 1.1 or 1.HC race. Maybe a nice preparation race for San Remo :)

Not sure where else to put this but Orica have been dealt a blow by the Giro organisers. They are not allowed to show any footage of the race at all. As im sure many will agree the Backstage Passes they do are brilliant and I cannot understand why the organisers have stepped in to put restrictions on their coverage.

They are still doing the passes but just before and after stage interviews with some footage in the lead car with Julian Dean ahead of the race.

Well yes, but then why have they been allowed to use footage on every other race up until now? They can't say they've suddenly realised a couple of minutes footage was being used per stage as the BSP's are incredibly popular.

Because it's become more important. Just see the deal Tour de Suisse made with the teams. If Velon and RCS are to make a deal, it doesn't make sense for RCS to already give the teams something they own for free.

Giant might be in hunt for a big BeNeLux based lead sponsor anyway to officially become a Dutch team again anyway.

One does wonder, why did they transfer Verdick from south-east Poland all the way to the Netherlands when he was in critical condition? Surely the hospital was not bad enough to warrant such a long transfer in such a precarious condition, and even if it was bad, I'm sure there were other good hospitals closer to Tarnów.

The only explanation I can think of is that it was already clear he wasn't going to make it so they decided to let him die "at home".
